Important notes about copyright and attribution: We don’t want to STEAL other people’s photos. We only accept photos that we are allowed to distribute, usually this would be photos that have been distributed under Creative Commons licensing. We will ALWAYS link back to your website or Flickr page and give you proper attribution as described in your licensing. We do not use photos for commercial use; This is a not-for-profit blog.Our blog software puts a small unobtrusive watermark on photos when they are viewed. We do this for two reasons: 1) To stop people from hot-linking blatantly, and 2) So that people can always backtrack the photo to here and, through us, find the proper creator of the photo. We would put your details on the photos as well, but for now our software doesn’t give us that option. We’re working on that.

If your photo is on here and you feel it is by mistake or if you did not license your photo to be distributed, please follow these instructions:

In order to file a copyright infringement notification with us, we basically need the following in writing:

1. An identification of the photo(s) or video(s) that you feel we have infringed. Please supply us with a link to the infringed materials.
2. Information enough for us to properly contact you, such as your address, phone number, email address, and so on.
3. Proof that you are in fact holding the copyright to the infringed material. We will help you with a method for providing this when you contact us.
4. A statement that you are in good faith that we have used this material without proper authorization.
5. Information on the type of licensing, or lack of licensing, you feel we have infringed and how. (For example: If you feel we have not adhered to the Creative Commons license you have applied to your work.)
